About Us
I emigrated from the Bahamas to Nashville, Tennessee, to pursue my undergraduate education and remained there for seminary, where I also completed clinical pastoral education. I have been married to my wife, La Keisha, for 18 years. Our family has lived and served in Kentucky and Wisconsin, and we now call Alabama home, where we are raising our two children.
Our Call to Plant
God’s call to church planting emerged through a period of intentional communal discernment alongside servant disciples following an experience of religious trauma. In that season, my vocation and pastoral identity were renewed, and I sensed God’s affirmation that the call to pastor remained, though it was being given new shape. Through prayer, listening, and engagement with our context, it became clear that Madison County is longing for a different kind of church – one rooted in healing, faithfulness, and a trustworthy witness to the gospel.
About Our Church Plant
The Concord Fellowship is an emerging church plant in Madison County, Alabama, committed to being a different kind of church – one rooted in grace, integrity, and faithful Christian witness. Concord understands itself as a community of servant‑disciples shaped by the cross and formed through worship, discipleship, and mutual care. Our identity has been forged through intentional communal discernment and a renewed sense of pastoral vocation, affirming both the enduring call to shepherd God’s people and the need for a church shaped differently for this time and place.
Our vision is to cultivate servant‑disciples who use their God‑given gifts to create a dynamic community of faith and witness. At Concord, worship is formative and intergenerational, bringing together biblical proclamation, prayer, and embodied praise in ways that nurture spiritual depth and belonging. Discipleship emphasizes formation for daily life, inviting people to grow in faith, practice accountability, and live out the gospel in concrete and hopeful ways. We seek to be a trustworthy church – one that takes seriously the work of healing, reconciliation, and Christian integrity.
The Concord Fellowship serves Madison County, a region marked by rapid growth, cultural diversity, and significant social transition. While the area is rich in church presence, many people are seeking a more faithful, credible, and healing expression of Christian community. Our mission field includes individuals and families longing for spiritual depth, authentic belonging, and a faith that engages real life with courage and compassion. Through gathered worship, intentional discipleship, and servant leadership, Concord exists to embody the reconciling work of the gospel and to participate faithfully in what God is already doing in our community.
