Every Healthy Church Can Plant
At Plant Alabama, we believe that every healthy church has the potential to expand Gospel presence through church planting. It takes a called leader and a dedicated team working together to engage a community with the Gospel, make disciples, and gather new fellowships. Whether your church is large or small, you can move from being a storyteller to a partner who helps churches actually do the work of multiplication.
Ways to Partner
Partnership is a strategic and spiritual commitment to see the Gospel reach new communities. To become a partner, a church connects with a church planter to understand their specific mission and context. Together, under God’s direction, you seek to walk with them strategically as either a Sending Church or a Sponsor Church.
The Sending Church
The Sending Church serves as the primary body used by God to launch a church planter into a harvest field. This role involves deep, step-by-step involvement in the birth of a new congregation.
- Primary Support: You are the main body responsible for praying, supporting, caring for, and walking alongside the church planter.
- Leader Development: You help identify and prepare called leaders to engage new communities with the Gospel.
- Strategic Oversight: You provide the primary spiritual foundation and guidance as the new fellowship grows.

The Sponsor Church
Church planters always need more strategic partners to stand beside them. A Sponsor Church “adopts” a planter, ensuring they have the encouragement and resources needed throughout the church planting process.
- Adopt a Planter: You commit to adopting a specific church planter and their family as part of your church’s mission.
- Intentional Prayer: You provide consistent prayer and support as the planter engages the community.
- Practical Partnership: You support the mission as you are able, providing the reinforcement a new plant requires to thrive.

Why It Matters
Planting a church is about more than starting a service; it is about multiplication. Whether you choose to send or sponsor, your partnership ensures that the Gospel continues to change lives across Alabama.
