What is church planting?
Church planting is the intentional process of sowing the Gospel in a new context, leading to the discipleship of new believers and their gathering into a local body of Christ.
Why is church planting important?
Church Planting is at the center of Christ’s mission to make disciples and establish a church that will remain. In a new church plant believers can grow, serve and be sent out to impact their world.
Who should plant churches?
We have church planters from the age of 28 to 75. A church planter would need to be called, sent out from his church, affirmed by the association and assessed/trained by ALSBOM to plant in Alabama.
Where is Plant Alabama planting churches?
We are planting in many needy and dark spiritual areas in our state. With a state that has less and less people identifying as committed followers of Christ and church members, there is a great need to replant the gospel in many communities and peoples.
When should a church plant a church?
Planting a church is a serious and blessed call from the Lord, but it is not to be jumped into lightly. Some feel like they do not have the person or resources to plant a church. They are waiting on God to provide health and resources. Christ in Matthew 9:36-38 was broken over Jerusalem and the lostness of the people. He called his disciples to pray for laborers. Prayer is the key to re-awaken the church to its mission and to see God raise up laborers.
