About Us
Ruby and I have been married for five years. Ruby is 29 years old and is from Santa Ana, California. I Am from Guatemala and I am 30 years old. We have two kids; Isabella (2 years old) and Caleb (5 months old).
Our Call to Plant
After praying to God about how I could serve him with my life the first thing that he put in my heart was to teach God’s word, I started to prepare to learn how to study God’s word and during that time I was convicted of the need for new healthy churches in the United States and little by little with the help of my pastors and my local church it was clear to me that God was calling me and my family to serve him in church planting.
About Our Church Plant
We are in Decatur, Alabama. We have a partnership with First Baptist Decatur Alabama. According to the census Decatur has a population of 60000 people with 15% being Hispanics and the second language more spoken after English is Spanish. We are serving and reaching our community offering ESL classes, doing outreach activities, and doing outdoor evangelism. We are praying for God’s direction so that we can officially start having our worship service (we have bible studies at the moment).
How to pray for us
- For God’s direction and provision so we can start our own service completely in Spanish.
- For God to raise leaders among our core group.
- For Gospel unity within our core group.
- For faithfulness and boldness to share the Gospel with the lost.
